Layered Necklaces: A Simple Guide to Layering Chains

Layering necklaces is one of the easiest ways to make a simple outfit look styled. Follow these basic rules and you cannot go wrong.
Use different lengths
Start with a short chain or choker near the collarbone, then add a medium chain and a longer pendant below. Leave about two to three centimetres between each layer.
Mix thin and statement pieces
Pair one eye-catching pendant with one or two delicate chains. Too many bold pieces together can look crowded.
Stay in one metal tone
Keep all layers gold-tone or all silver-tone for a clean finish.
Prevent tangles
Fasten each necklace and lay them flat when storing, or hang them separately.
